Get In The Picture 2009, LLC - PARTNERSHIP NEWS

Updated: December 1, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 28, 09 - That I Am WON in a dramatic come from behind run at odds of 55-1.    He paid $116.70 to win!

November 1, 09 - Tatum Girl - WON!

Although the GITP partners get regular updates through e-mail and phone calls I have been lax in updating the web site.  We had a really fun summer including a great July 4th picnic at the barn with fireworks compliments of Arlington Park.

This fall we enjoyed the Breeders Cup in the Secretariat Suite - a nice treat with our own private teller and bartender plus a buffet!

If any new or prospective partners would like more information just give me a call at 847-477-1626.

May 11, 09- We tried Tatum Girl going 1 1/16 miles on the turf - she loved the turf but not the mile - back to a sprint for her.

April 27, 09 - Digi's Tolerance broke her maiden for the Easy Money, LLC group.

She went wire to wire on the lead - great win!!

April 14, 09 - HORSES HAVE BEEN SHIPPED TO HAWTHORNE - SEE YOU IN CHICAGO.

April 11, 09 - We claimed two horses today.  Tatum Girl - a 6 year old mare with speed - always an asset.  We also claimed Bishop's Creek from Wayne Lukas.  He is a 5 year old gelding who runs a mile.  Nice additions to the stable.

April 5, 09 - Winchester Bay finished 2nd and was claimed - too bad he couldn't hang on for the win but we'll take the claim and the win money and claim another one.

April 2, 09 - Trippit finished 2nd - Great race!!  Nice purse of $14,800.

March 28, 09 - Winchester Bay finished 3rd.  Speed was king today and although we sat close to the pace he was closing hard only missing 2nd by a neck.  Our race was the fastest 6 fulongs of the day going in 110.4.

March 22, 09 - Trippit ran a wonderful 2nd - was leading down the stretch and just got caught in the last few jumps.

August 6, 2008 - Erdison finished 2nd in the $75,000 Rapid Transit Claiming Crown Stake.  He ran a brilliant race and had the perfect trip - unfortuantely there was one horse just a little better on this day.   Still we're so proud of him and the effort he gave us.   Fun day for everyone!

June 12, 2008 - Erdiston WON.  Great race that has set him up perfectly for the claiming crown on August 2 at Canterbury.  Joel rode him and will ride him in the Claiming Crown.  He was close up to stalk the field from third - took the lead at the top of the lane and won by 1 1/2 lengths.  Very exciting!! Congrats partners!!

We finally have a name for our new 2 year old. We are submitting "Trippit" to the Jockey Club and will let you know if we get the name. All the horses are doing great and I'll keep you updated when we find races for them.

Teller Line had a very wide trip out of the 10 post and could not get to the leaders. She has too much speed to take back but not enough to circle the field. She finished 7th.

Thornwood ran a very disappointing race so we'll try again going short this time.

Results for the new 2005 partnership:

At Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, AR

"Thornwood" ran 4th in a race that was the first time he has not been able to run in a condition or age restricted race, so this was a great effort on his part.

"Teller Line" ran 3rd in a very tough open allownace race. This race was used as a prep for an upcoming stake race with several fillies in the race coming out of graded stake races. This was a terrific race for our filly.

Results:

January 2, 2005

"Teller Line" finished 3rd. She ran a great closing race in the slop but 6 1/2 furlongs is just too short for her. She will be sold to the 2005 partnership and race again on January 30 at Oaklawn Park.

January 1, 2005

"Carson City Kid" broke out of the gate great and then stumbled. This put him behind horses and if he doesn't have the lead he just will not run. He has been sold so this was our last race with him.

"I Will Survive" did not get into her race. There were over 20 entries and she was excluded from the main body of the race.

December 29, 2004

"Thornwood" ran a great 3rd. He was with the leaders throughout the race, the favorite, a closer caught him in the last 16th of a mile, he only got beat a length and a half for the win.

Dec. 22, 2004

"I Will Survive" finished 6th. We're going to try to run her again before the end of the meet.

December 15, 2004 - "Teller Line" WON !!

She jumped from the gate with her ears pinned! She lead every step and dug in again when challenged at the top of the stretch to win by 3 lengths.

The Exacta 1-5 paid $38.20 and the Trifecta 1-5-7 paid $85.00

Congratulations to all the partners!!

December 12, 2004

December 10, 2004

Results: "Robbin Lynn" ran 2nd and was claimed from us. She ran a wonderful winning effort battling all the way down the stretch only to get beat a head on the wire.

Past News and Results

December 1, 2004 - "Carson City Kid" WON !!!

We had a sloppy race track after the snow melted - he loved it!

The exacta 2-9 paid $98.60 and the trifecta 2-9-7 paid $286.80

Congradulations to all the partners!!

There is a race for "I Will Survive" on Saturday, Dec. 4. I will keep you posted if she gets in the race.

Nov. 27, 2004

November 21, 2004

"Robbin Lynn" WON!!!

Mike stretched the distance of her race out to 1 1/16 mile. She sat about 5th until they turned for home, when Jesse asked her to run - she did! She won by 1&1/2 lengths.

She paid $9.00 - $5.00 - $3.20

the 5-4 Exacta paid $49.80 and the

5-4-9 Trifecta paid $168.20

Congratulations to all the Partners!

November 12, 2004

"Teller Line" ran a great 3rd at Churchill. This was a very tough race, the winner had just run in 2 Graded Stake races.

"Carson City Kid" ran 2nd at Hawthorne. He lead until the top of the stretch and when the winner went by him he went on to win by 10 lengths. We ran a clear and easy 2nd. Next time!

November 11, 2004

"I Will Survive" ended up running in the slop at Churchill, she didn't care for the track and finished 6th.

"Thornwood" ran a wonderful 3rd especially considering he just ran 5 days ago and this race was a raise in class. He seems to like the mile better so that's where we'll run him next race.

"Thornwood" ran a great 3rd on Wednesday, Nov. 3. He closed ground steadily but 6 furlongs was just too short for him. Although he has won at both 6 furlongs and 1 mile, he prefers a mile or more, that's the distance we'll race him at next time out.

"Carson City Kid" finished 5th. He was head and head with the leader for a mile and then gave way the last 1/16. The last 1/16th and the long stretch at Hawthorne are just not to his liking. Mike is going to try to get a race written for him at 1 flat mile or 1 mile 70 yds.

"Robbin Lynn" finished 4th in a very fast race. She made the lead for a while but could not hold it. We'll try her going long next time where the fractions should be softer.

"I Will Survive" finished 6th - the race turned out to be much tougher than we expected - the winner just ran in a Grade 3 Stake. We're going to drop her back into a claiming race her next start.

Oct. 16 - "Carson City Kid" finished 2nd

He lead the whole way but just couldn't hang on for the win. He still ran a great race so we'll try him again in a few weeks. The race for "I Will Survive" did not have enough entries so we may have to run her at Keeneland on Oct. 24th. Check back for updates.

October 11, 2004 - Both "Teller Line" and "Robbin Lynn" finished 3rd

"Robbin Lynn" got bothered badly at the start which she had a hard time recovering from. She still finished 3rd. "Teller Line" had the lead at the top of the stretch but got beat 1 1/2 lengths by a horse who has beaten her before at Arlington. She'll get 'em next time.

October 9th - Happy Birthday Joel & Jesse. Each had a winner

Joel the 4th at Turf Paradise and Jesse won the Grade 3 "Robert F. Carey Memorial " at Hawthorne. Nice way to celebrate a birthday! Congradulations!!

The horses are in their new home at Hawthorne - Barn E - Come Visit anytime

"Carson City Kid" finished a disappointing 5th. Mike has a few ideas how to make him run better next time.

October 3, 2004 - "I Will Survive" finished 2nd

"I Will Survive" finished 2nd on Sunday, Oct. 3. She ran a wonderfurl race dropping back to 3rd then coming on again to finish a solid 2nd. She runs with a lot of heart.

"Robbin Lynn" ran 3rd on Saturday. She and the eventual winner lead the whole race but she just could not hold on. This was a great effort for her as she was on the raise because there were no other races for her.

Sept. 15, 2004 - "Teller Line" ran a beautiful second.

She dueled with the winner all the way down the stretch only to get beat a neck right at the wire. A very fast time of 136.4 for the mile.

Sept. 6, 2004 - "Carson City Kid" finished 3rd.

He ran a terrific race but got stuck very wide on the turn and could not catch the winner. He only got beat 1 length for the win. I'll keep you updated when there are more races for our horses.

"Teller Line" Finished 6th. She liked the grass but not the distance, 5 furlongs is just to short for her. She needed the race since she hasn't run since July 5th so now Mike can find her a race on the grass or dirt going at least 1 mile.

September 1, 2004 - "Robbin Lynn" WON

She paid $11.60 - $3.80 - $2.40

She ran the mile in 138.4, lead wire to wire and won by 6 lengths. Joel was in town to ride her for us and that was his first winner at Arlington Park.

Thanks to everyone for all the support and Congratulations!!!

Win pictures and a copy of the win tapes will be sent ASAP.

(Sorry it took so long to get the results posted - we had a problem with the web page and it has just now been fixed.)

August 22, 2004 - "I Will Survive" WON!!!

She paid $15.40 - $8.40 - $5.00

She ran a huge race in 110.4. She sat second for 4 furlongs then went up to catch the leader where they dueled down the lane. She won by a neck in a very tough race. What a nice horse she is turning out to be.

"Teller Line" did not get into a race again. There is another condition race for her on Friday, August 27. It would be 1 mile on the grass.

We plan to enter "Robbin Lynn" for Sunday, August 29 and "Carson City Kid" for Wednesday, September 1.

I'll keep you posted.

August 13 - July 23rd - "Carson City Kid" finished 2nd beat a nose right on the wire.

What a heart breaker!!

He took the lead in mid-stretch and looked like an easy winner when a horse loomed up on his outside and caught him in the last jump. He ran so great!!

July 21 "Robbin Lynn" finished 5th. The race just did not set up very well for her and she got trapped behind a wall of horses. She came out of her race just fine so we'll try again.

July 7th - "Robbin Lynn" WON !

We shortened her distance to 6 fulongs She sat behind the leader and pressed the pace, when they turned for home she took over and won by one length. She paid $10.00 - $4.40 -$4.20

Congratulations to everyone and Thanks for your support. We'll be mailing 2 win pictures and a tape of both races.

July 5th - "Teller Line" WON !!

What a great race she ran.  She set the pace then she and another mare dueled down the stretch. When Jesse asked her for more she gave it all she had, responded gamely in the drive and prevailed. She won by a neck.

She paid $5.80 - $3.20 - $2.60

Congratulations to all the partners.

We'll be mailing win pictures and a copy of the race.

July 2nd - Mike finally claimed a horse at Churchill

A 5 year old mare named "I Will Survive"

She is by Storm Boot - Out of: Take No Prisoners

June 30, 2004 - "Carson City Kid" finished 5th in a pretty tough race.

We will find an eaiser spot for him next time.

"Teller Line" finished 2nd on Saturday, June 12 running the fastest mile of her career. She ran the mile in 136.2 topping her best mile in her last start. She trys so hard every race.

June 6, 2004 - "Carson City Kid" finished 4th in a closing try on June 6.

We did learn a few things about him that we will be ableto use in his up coming races. "Robbin Lynn" finished 6th. She has a few issues that Mikeis still trying to solve for her. We'll try again in a few weeks.

Mike did make a trip to Churchill last week to try to claim another horse for the partnership. He rejected a filly that had too many physical problems and got outshook in a 2 way shake for a 4 yr. old gelding that won his race. We'll keep trying.

"Teller Line" ran an incredible second on May 22.

Her race ran one full second faster than the filly stake race that same day.

This race was the fastest mile she has ever run in her career. (136.4 for a mile)

She is so full of heart, we're very proud of her. She cooled out just fine and was feeling great on Sunday morning.

We're looking forward to running her again - June 12

"Robbin Lynn" ran fourth in a very tough race.

"I Will Survive" ran a great 4th in a 5 furlong race on the grass.

She loved the grass but 5 furlongs was a bit too short for her.
